My idea to start my own company Garden Keepers started in 2020.
I was working for my husband in accounts, whilst helping my mother take care of my father who was diagnosed with several degenerative diseases including dementia which took his life late last year (2020).
During this time, I became the gardener for my parents and begun buying quite a few indoor and outdoor plants, to test my new love of becoming a green thumb.
Hubby supplied my garden gloves as he has been in the business of work gloves for over 35 years. I decided then that I would like my own range of work gloves, I needed to fill a void, my life once consumed by taking care of my father and appointments, had come to an abrupt halt.
Yes, I was still working in accounts, but it wasn’t enough, and I wanted something to compliment my new love of gardening and supported my need to care for my mother.
This is how my own glove line came into fruition, with the help and expertise of a professional in the industry and a few tweaks of my own Keepers Gloves has become a reality.
